Newcastle United will face a clear asking price if they decide to move for Jorge Carrascal.

Brazilian outlet O Dia report that Flamengo will not negotiate below €19m. The Premier League side have tracked the Colombian midfielder in recent weeks, and the valuation now gives a clearer picture of what a deal would require.

According to the story, Marseille have already shown interest and received approval from Roberto De Zerbi to open talks with Flamengo.

As we covered earlier, Newcastle are named as another club watching the situation, and the price set by the Brazilian champions applies to all suitors. Flamengo paid around €12.7m for Carrascal in 2024 and see his new market value as consistent with his recent impact.

Reports in Brazil add that Carrascal became a key figure during Flamengo’s title runs in the Copa Libertadores and the Brazilian league. The club are planning changes for 2026, and players who performed well now attract foreign interest. Even so, Flamengo intend to evaluate only offers that match their financial and sporting strategy.

Carrascal made 21 appearances last season, with three goals and five assists. He is under contract until June 2029, which strengthens Flamengo’s position at the table.

Newcastle have not advanced to the stage of bidding, but the valuation set in Brazil offers a clear reference point. For now, the message from Flamengo is firm: negotiations will only start from €19m.
