Newcastle United could send youngster Yankuba Minteh out on loan again this summer, with Borussia Monchengladbach tipped as a potential destination.
Gladbach Live cover the player today and name him on a list of potential options for the Bundesliga club as they eye up loan deals this summer.
Director of football Roland Virkus recently admitted the German side would be looking at the loan market this summer, even insisting the English market is of particular interest to them.
“Loans can also be an issue in the summer,” he said.
“This means you can sign up for higher quality at a comparatively low cost. We are of course also looking at markets like England.”
That’s led to Gladbach Live to look at potential options and they believe Newcastle youngster Minteh could be one of them.
They explain that while Minteh has been enjoying himself on loan at Feyenoord this season, the step up to the Premier League may be too great for him next year.
As far as they’re concerned it’s ‘hardly imaginable’ that he’ll make it straight to Newcastle and a stopover in a top five league like the Bundesliga would be a ‘suitable step’ for his development.
Gladbach would be more than willing to welcome him as his pace on the wing would be a useful asset for them to have.
It all depends on what Newcastle decide to do with the youngster next season, but Gladbach are in the market and there is a belief a move there could make plenty of sense.
