Newcastle United are reportedly one of the clubs who’ve been following Valencia starlet Javi Guerra.
This information is today revealed by Spanish outlet Marca, who feature a story highlighting how great the 20-year-old has been recently.
With three goals and one assist this season, the central midfielder suddenly became a sensation in Valencia’s season, and that hasn’t gone unnoticed for the big sharks in the market.
Marca writes there’s ‘very close’ monitoring by Newcastle, who ‘styalk’ Guerra, see him as a ‘top player’ and follow him ‘every game’.
The observations seem to be in the early stages, as the player has just started shining for the La Liga side, and there’s no mention of an attempt from the Magpies for now.
What is known is that Guerra is protected by a €100m release clause, and that’s enough to make Valencia feel calm about the situation and the interest from English clubs.
Newcastle’s interest is revealed at an interesting time, because, just this morning, we’d been seeing the local media putting a spotlight over the youngster, with newspaper Super Deporte insisting it’s not just ‘hype’, as he’s a ‘reality’ already.
