Tuesday’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport has a big feature on potential Inter Milan transfers this summer, and how the club need to secure exits before they can seriously move forward in the market.
One of the players who has been most linked with an outgoing transfer is Marcelo Brozovic, and the Italian newspaper bring Newcastle United into the picture for the Croatian.
According to Gazzetta, Newcastle have ‘sent signals through intermediaries’. The slant is they wanted to contact midfielder, albeit indirectly, to test the transfer waters.
However, at this stage it’s thought Brozovic could be heading towards Saudi Arabia. Inter have denied any advanced talks over a move to Saudi, and it’s said the player is open to lots of things.
He doesn’t feel as prominent at Inter as he once did, and that’s bringing the transfer temptation.
Brozovic is 30-years-of-age and has a contract with Inter lasting until 2026. Chelsea have also been linked recently, and it feels more like intermediaries working on behalf of Inter or player than serious approaches from either Newcastle or their Premier League rivals.
