Newcastle United are ‘ready to put €25m on the table’ for Juventus youngster Matias Soulé as he impresses on loan at Frosinone.

That’s according to Tuttosport, who say both clubs may need more convincing from the Magpies to sanction a deal in the coming weeks.

Soulé is spending the season on loan with the Serie A side and having something of a break out year as a result, with six goals and one assist in 14 league games so far earning him plenty of attention, particularly from the Premier League.

Newcastle are one of the sides who have regularly been keeping an eye on him, with reports throughout this month indicating as much.

A report earlier this month indicated that they were ‘above all’ in showing an interest in the 20-year-old before the latest indicated that Juventus would be hard pressed to reject any offer of €25m+.

Tuttosport now follow that up and say Newcastle ‘would be ready’ to test that idea as they’re happy to put €25m ‘on the table’ to sign Soulé immediately.

Whether that tempts Juventus into accepting isn’t clear, but the newspaper do say that Frosinone are ‘holding on to him’ and the Old Lady, for their part, are in no hurry to strike an agreement as they think his price ‘could take off further’ in the summer.

It seems the intention is there from Newcastle nonetheless, which means a potentially interesting few weeks ahead.
