Newcastle United are in the picture to sign Real Valladolid’s Juma Bah in the winter market.

That’s according to Sportitalia, and they make it clear this is their own information about Newcastle.

Real Valladolid took the 18-year-old on loan from Sierra Leone’s AIK Freetong in the summer.

The centre-back has made 10 appearances this season and his displays for the Spanish club have caught Newcastle’s attention.

There are other clubs looking at the young talent, but the report states the Magpies ‘in particular’ have taken further steps to secure his services.

It’s claimed Eddie Howe’s side have taken ‘concrete action’ to sign Bah by tabling a €10m bid. The Spanish club have turned it down and are demanding more money to sanction the player’s sale in January.

There’s no mention of the fee needed to convince Real Valladolid and Sportitalia say they are open to letting the teenager leave next month. This can only be possible if the La Liga side were to first make Bah’s loan stay permanent.

Chelsea, Bournemouth and Manchester City are also credited with interest.
