Newcastle United have taken a decisive step in the chase for Allan Elias and are now preparing a concrete offer for the Palmeiras midfielder, according to club insider Portal do Palestra.

This development goes beyond previous reports, which only stated that the Magpies wanted an “immediate” agreement and were willing to invest. The new information suggests they intend to formalise that interest in the 21-year-old in the next window.

Newcastle’s approach reportedly forms part of Eddie Howe’s wider squad rebuild. The Premier League side have monitored Allan for months and believe his versatility suits their long-term project.

As previously reported in Brazil, Palmeiras created a financial plan that targets around €70m in new player sales by 2026. Allan has long been viewed as a key piece in that strategy.

The club already rejected a €20m offer from Zenit and expect proposals closer to €32m before opening serious talks. His release clause remains near €100m, which allows Palmeiras to dictate the pace of negotiations.

The Brazilian side admit that no player is “untouchable” for 2026. So if Newcastle present a strong offer, the club may consider talks as part of their long-term financial strategy.
