Two days ago, we covered claims from Germany explaining that Borussia Dortmund have included Newcastle United’s Yankuba Minteh in their target list for the summer window.

Edin Terzić left the Bundesliga side and they appointed Nuri Şahin as his successor last week.

Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share the latest on the Newcastle player.

BVB are looking to strengthen their attack, and the 19-year-old is one of the options they are considering signing this summer.

Plettenberg says Şahin knows the Gambia international well, without providing any further explanation since the pair haven’t worked together so far.

Minteh spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Feyenoord, where he managed 11 goals and six assists from 37 games.

His displays for the Dutch club haven’t gone unnoticed as Plettenberg claims the Magpies man has many enquires ‘on the table’.

On May 26th, Minteh stated he’s not sure whether or not he will extend his stay at the Eredivsie side. He made this claim more than a week after the Dutch press said Eddie Howe and Newcastle want to see him in pre-season before making a decision on his future.
