Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle United are all said to be in the battle for Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Manu Koné.

This race is today explained Ignazio Genuardi. On Twitter, he says the 22-year-old should have multiple options to move to the Premier League.

Liverpool’s chase doesn’t seem to be anything new, as it was already known the Reds have been keen on the signing.

Now it’s said Koné also ‘arouses the interest’ from Newcastle United. It’s said the player is ‘very popular’ with the Magpies, as the club look to sign two more midfielders for Eddie Howe’s squad.

As for Chelsea, there aren’t many details about the Blues’ chase for the midfielder, with Genuardi only saying the Stamford Bridge side are keen on the player as well.

Koné is well protected by Borussia Mönchengladbach with a contract until 2025, with an option for a further year. At this time, he’s valued by Transfermarkt at €30m, although this battle between Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle United could certainly bring the Bundesliga side’s request up.
