According to Greek newspaper Sportime, Newcastle United are interested in signing PAOK left-back Dimitris Giannoulis.

The 24 year old has been strongly linked with a move away from the club since January, and Sportime report interested clubs could submit offers to PAOK.

Along with Newcastle United, Sportime claim French giants Marseille, who have been following him for the past few months, are also interested in Giannoulis’ signature.

According to the Greek newspaper, there could be new developments in the coming days with regards to Giannoulis moving to England, but any offer will obviously need to satisfy PAOK financially. There are no reports on how much Newcastle United are prepared to pay for the player.

It’s reported after PAOK’s game against Besiktas tonight in the Champions League qualifiers, Giannoulis’ future could be decided.

He made 44 appearances for PAOK in all competitions last season, scoring one goal and providing six assists. His contract with the Thessaloniki side will expire at the end of June 2022.
