With Newcastle United still uncertain about the investment they could make on signing Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia, the Spanish media now has some comments about that.
In the past few days, it was the English press who claimed the Magpies have been looking at alternatives in the market, such as James Trafford and Aaron Ramsdale.
Spanish newspaper Levante EMV now comes up with a story claiming that could even be a ‘market strategy’ from Newcastle.
It’s said that since Valencia are demanding something close to €40m to sell their goalkeeper, then the Magpies could walk away for other options and see if they decide to drop the price.
It’s well known that Mamardashvili could leave the La Liga side this summer, as he’s been drawing interest from ‘big clubs’ and may be the biggest sale they have to make.
Since Newcastle don’t seem to be in a hurry, they’re believed to be evaluation the options before making a big investment, and could use that as a plan to see if Valencia make a discount.
