Fikayo Tomori was reportedly close to joining Tottenham Hotspur in the winter transfer window but now, Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest have emerged as potential suitors for the Englishman.

After the centre-back refused a move to Spurs, he started two games in a row for AC Milan. Since then, he is yet to make a single Serie A appearance and that is a big sign that he is out of the Italian giants’ plans.

MilanLive have looked at the Englishman’s situation at the San Siro and state that Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest are ‘thinking about’ moving for Tomori in the summer.

There is quite a concrete possibility of Milan selling him in the summer and the defender will ‘pack his bags’ if a price tag of €25m is met.

Tottenham could also return to the chase but the outlet is confident about Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest being likely candidates in the race.

Milan have already identified a host of potential replacements for Tomori, with Udinese’s Oumar Solet being scouted. Hellas Verona’s Davide Coppola can also emerge as an option in the next few weeks.
