Santos left-back Souza grew in stature across 2025, subsequently the teenager is now attracting interest from Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United.

The 19-year-old played 24 times in the Brazilian top-flight in 2025, scoring once and assisting twice. Souza had an ankle injury earlier in the campaign but recovered well to make a real mark for Santos.

Calciomercato IT look at the talent’s future, noting that Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest are attentive to his situation.

Chelsea and Barcelona are also in the race, with AC Milan having made an initial enquiry for the full-back. This has been followed up by the Rossoneri making an initial verbal offer, having established a good relationship with Souza’s entourage from Bertolucci Sports.

Despite this, Milan are yet to meet Santos’ asking price. This could give an opportunity to Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest, who would have to pay €12m to sign the talent, whose current contract runs out in 2028.

Bertolucci Sports also represent Newcastle United’s Bruno Guimaraes and Nottingham Forest’s Douglas Luiz and Omari Hutchinson. This shows that there is already a working relationship with the two clubs and that can come in handy if a move to England does take off.
