Newcastle United can get Mouctar Diakhaby from Valencia before deadline day if they offer at least €12m for him.
That’s according to Super Deporte, who say the Spanish side are very much open to a sale if Newcastle offer the right amount.
They say that it’s a case of ‘one nail pulls out another nail’ at Valencia as they are unable to sign anyone before selling first.
The one who very much ‘holds the key’ to a domino effect at the club, is the Frenchman, a key candidate to leave.
Should that deal crystallise with the Magpies, or anyone else for that matter, it would open the door for Valencia to sign a replacement and the man at the top of their list is Getafe’s Djené Dakonam.
It all rests on Newcastle, though, who now know that €12m can get them their man. Whether Mike Ashley is willing to offer that remains to be seen.
