Earlier on Thursday, reports from the Spanish media revealed that Real Madrid are eyeing Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimarães as a potential replacement for Casemiro.

It was claimed by AS that the Galacticos have the player as ‘first in the list’, even though the Magpies would request over €100m to let him go this summer.

It turns out there’s now an update from Brazil on the matter as ESPN journalist Gustavo Hofman now comes up to back up that Real Madrid are interested in Bruno Guimarães.

He claims that the midfielder’s ‘agents ‘have already been contacted’ by the La Liga giants.

And even though the price for a transfer has reportedly been informed to Real Madrid, Hofman also claims that Newcastle ‘don’t intend to do business’ for the player this summer.

The Magpies obviously don’t want to get rid of their star, who arrived at the club in January and almost immediately had huge impact at the club.

However, with the Spanish media sounding more confident that Casemiro could leave, perhaps the Santiago Bernabeu side are indeed preparing to go strong for Bruno Guimaraes.
