A few Newcastle United key players could be leaving the club this summer following their relegation the Championship.
Moussa Sissoko, Ayoze Perez, Aleksandar Mitrovic, and Georginio Wijnaldum have been linked to several clubs in the top flight divisions.
Wijnaldum has been in impressive form since his arrival at the club at the start of the season, and rumours suggest AS Roma want him to replace Miralem Pjanic at the club.
According to latest rumours on Italian website Leggo Sport, Wijnaldum has already asked Newcastle for a transfer, and is the first name on AS Roma’s wishlist.
His agent, Humphry Nijman, recently refused to comment directly rumours linking him to AS Roma, but went on to say ‘Roma are a great club, one of the best in Europe’.
The 25-year-old has 11 goals and 5 assists to his name this season, and Newcastle would certainly be hoping to recoup the €20m they paid for him to PSV, if they decide to let him leave.
