As the race for the signing of Benfica striker Darwin Nunez goes on, Newcastle United continues to be named as one of the potential destinations for the 22-year-old.

Record doesn’t mention how much Benfica are demanding for Nunez’s sale now, although it’s made clear that the Eagles don’t want to lose the player in the January window.It’s already been claimed in Portugal that in case of a transfer in the winter market, then the Lisbon side would require the payment of his release clause, which stands at €150m.
That’s a lot of money, even for the newly rich Magpies, so if Newcastle do want to sign him, they might have to wait until next summer to bring the striker to St James’ Park.
