Newcastle United are in the picture to sign Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot in the summer.
The 27-year-old’s contract expires in June and earlier this week he was coy about his future at the Serie A side beyond this season.
This should give Newcastle hope as they would be very interested in securing his services on a free transfer.
That’s according to Tutto Juve, who state the Magpies are ‘ready to do anything’ to bring the France international to the Tyneside club.
Newcastle are in contention to qualify for the Champions League next season. Eddie Howe wants to maintain the ‘good sensations’ of the sporting project by trying to add the ex-PSG man to his squad in the summer.
To convince the player, it’s claimed the Premier League side are ready to propose a salary of ‘more than’ €10m per year net plus bonuses. There’s no mention of the length of the contract.
With Newcastle willing to ‘do anything’ to sign Rabiot, it’ll be interesting to see if they will be successful with their efforts in the next window.
