Newcastle United are in need of reinforcements after struggling in the first half of the season. The Magpies are currently in the relegation zone, having picked only 11 points from 19 matches.

The arrival of new owners, Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, is expected to give the Magpies fresh hope of bolstering their squad in the winter market. Eddie Howe’s side are credited with an interest in several players, and among them is Aaron Ramsey.

The 31-year-old has featured only five times in all competitions for Juventus this term and has not made an appearance since he came off the bench in his side’s 1-0 win over Zenit Saint Petersburg in October.

According to Sport Mediaset, the Wales international has ‘not trained with the rest of the group for some time’. He is not included in Massimiliano Allegri’s plans and therefore, the midfielder will ‘personally negotiate his transfer with Juventus’.

It’s said the former Arsenal man has a market in the Premier League, where Newcastle are said to be one of the clubs ‘interested’ in the player.
