Newcastle United are one of several clubs in the mix for Juventus’ Adrien Rabiot.

The midfielder has been linked to Premier League sides since not long after he joined Juve on a free transfer in 2019, but there’s never really seemed anything concrete from England.

The 27-year-old has cited personal reasons for not joining his club’s trip the United States, however, Calciomercato believe it could be related to trying to find a new club.

Rabiot is represented by his mother, Veronique, and she’s been working to find out if there’s a team in England or France willing to spend €15m to sign him.

It’s claimed Newcastle United ‘have the money’ to sign the France international, but don’t have the same appeal as the likes of Manchester United or Chelsea.

A return to Paris Saint-Germain is also presented as a possibility. The outlet states Juve have Leandro Paredes on their agenda and the option to include the Frenchman as part of a deal of the Argentine could be tempting for the Old Lady.

That seems unlikely, given the terms on which he left the club.

With Manchester United and Chelsea thought to have other targets, Rabiot may have to lower his aims, which could present an opportunity for Newcastle United.
