As Newcastle United continue getting linked to multiple players from many leagues, we now see news about an offer for a Bundesliga player.
That’s Borussia Dortmund striker Youssoufa Moukoko who, according to journalist Patrick Berger, has become a target for the Magpies.
It’s claimed Newcastle made a ‘verbal approach’ to sign the 18-year-old, whose contract with the German side expires at the end of the season.
The Magpies are reportedly offering the player a €30m signing on fee, besides a €9m yearly salary at the club.
Moukoko, however, doesn’t seem so keen on making that move. Berger claims his wish is actually to stay at Borussia Dortmund, and in the coming days, there will be new talks with the Bundesliga side for a contract renewal.
Newcastle are apparently just one of the clubs who are interested in signing him for free next summer, as they’re claimed to be ‘among clubs’ who want the youngster, where Chelsea can be found.
For now, there’s no information on a potential agreement with Borussia Dortmund for a January move, as the intention seems indeed to be for a summer coup.
