Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez has used DeAndre Yedlin and Javier Manquillo as his two right-backs this season.
The Magpies and their coach are looking to strengthen that position in the winter market, which is why they are looking at Ligue 1, according to France Football.
Valentin Rosier of Dijon and Strasbourg’s Kenny Lala are identified as the two targets and the duo are of ‘particularly interest’.
Regarding Rosier, his contract with his current employer will run down in 2022 and the report mentions the 22-year-old has potential to progress.
Last summer, Lille made an offer to secure his services, but the French side knocked back the approach.
Lala, on the other hand, is an experienced player and has scored three goals and registered six assists in 17 league appearances. He can be a great value addition for the Tyneside club going forward, if Newcastle manage to seal the deal for him in January.
The 27-year-old has 18 months left on his Strasbourg contract and a decent offer from the Premier League outfit may convince them to sanction Lala’s sale.
