On Monday, Cope journalist Pedro Morata reported Newcastle United have tabled a €41m offer for Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.

It’s claimed there was a meeting between the 23-year-old’s agent and Newcastle on Sunday, where the club made the formal offer of £35m, which is around €41m.
The Georgia international is preparing for the Euros and wants to focus on the upcoming tournament. The newspaper says he has to make a decision on whether to join Eddie Howe’s side or wait for another club that can offer him European football.
Mamardashvili will leave the La Liga side in the summer, and whether it’ll be for Newcastle or another club remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, Super Deporte state Newcastle are ‘doing to the most’ to sign the goalkeeper in the summer window. It’s further claimed the Magpies are in a ‘hurry’ as they are aware his asking price could increase after the Euros.
