On January 18th, PL Brasil reported the midfielder’s entourage made a trip to Italy to meet the Magpies, who ‘reinforced their interest’ in him.
Tutto Atalanta claim the Brazilian’s exponential growth under Gian Piero Gasperini has drawn the attention of several clubs, including Newcastle.
Therefore, it’s not surprising that Eddie Howe’s side and other top European teams ‘have positioned themselves’ to sign the 24-year-old.
As of now, the Italian club haven’t received any concrete offers. Tutto Atalanta state the interest generated by the South American shows the good work done by Gasperini at the club.
