On August 3rd, Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws reported Anderlecht have accepted Newcastle United and Lokomotiv Moscow offers in the region of €5-€6m for Isaac Kiese Thelin.

The Swedish international has been training away from the main group, and the Belgian media have repeatedly explained that’s because of his transfer situation. Het Nieuwsblad reported Dynamo Kiev are also interested in the signing, but they want to take him on a loan deal with a purchase option, which was turned down.

German website Kicker claims Bayer Leverkusen have now joined the Tyneside club and the Russian outfit in trying to the player. They already lost Joel Pohjanpalo, who will be sidelined for several months and they have entered the transfer market to sign an attacker.

Heiko Herrlich’s side’s search for a new player has seen them turn their attention towards Thelin. HLN has also reported about the German club’s interest in the attacker.

The two reports don’t mention if Leverkusen have made an offer or whether Anderlecht have accepted it, like they did with offers from Newcastle and Lokomotiv Moscow.
