Italian outlet La Reppublica today features a very long story about Franck Kessie, whose imminent exit from AC Milan at the end of the season has become quite a drama.
The outlet says the midfielder is set to choose his new destination in up to three weeks, while there’s a long line of clubs who’d like to sign him as a free agent this summer.
Now there’s one side who stand out among those named by La Reppublica, and that’s what they call the ‘Arab’ Newcastle United.
With Kessie looking for a salary of over €6m per season, it’s said the Magpies are the ‘only club ready for an auction’, making it clear they’re not concerned how high the price goes.
It’s claimed that important managers, such as Barcelona’s Xavi, Inter Milan’s Simone Inzaghi, Manchester United’s Ralf Rangnick and Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp, would all want to take Kessie to their clubs. However, it’s really Newcastle who are up to the fight for the 25-year-old.
With Milan not entering that competition to pay what Kessie wants, it becomes a lot more likely that he’ll chose another club to play for next season.
