Over the past few months, various claims from Italy have mentioned Newcastle United as an option for Federico Chiesa. The Magpies are still chasing the Juventus player, and they are now joined by Arsenal and Chelsea.
That’s at least what Tutto Juve are reporting, and they state the Premier League trio are in the running to sign the 26-year-old in the summer window.
The forward finished the recently concluded season with 10 goals and three assists from 37 games. Chiesa has a year left on his deal, and his future is ‘uncertain’.
Juve seem to be willing to renew his contract, and if there is no extension, the chances of selling the Italy international increases, more so with the interest from Newcastle, Arsenal and Chelsea. Tutto Juve say the player has a chance to ‘breathe a new life’ in England.
Chiesa is also linked to a few Serie A sides. Should there be no renewal, the report says the Old Lady would prefer to sell him abroad for at least €40-45m, and this could please Eddie Howe’s side and the two London clubs.
For now, Newcastle, Arsenal and Chelsea will be keeping an eye on Chiesa’s contract situation at the Turin club.
