According to A Haber, Besiktas’ new head of football Erdal Torunogullari could look to sign Everton’s Cenk Tosun, with the Turkish side keen to strengthen in the January transfer window.
Besiktas are in need of a central striker to partner Burak Yilmaz, and A Haber say they want to re-sign Tosun in the new year.
Ahmet Nur Cebi has now been voted in as the Super Lig club’s new president and has confirmed he’s looking to sign a couple of players to bolster the squad. The Black Eagles have made a shocking start to the season and are fighting relegation.
Tosun doesn’t seem to be part of Marco Silva’s plans at Everton, with the manager using the likes of Richarlison, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Moise Kean ahead of him in this campaign.
The Turkish international has made just two substitute appearances for the Toffees this season with only one of those coming in the Premier League.
Tosun’s Everton contract will expire at the end of June 2022, but he could leave the Premier League club in January to get regular first team football ahead of Euro 2020.
