Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Sanson continues to draw interest from France, according to local reports.
Outlet L’Est Eclair writes that as Troyes are considering to recruit a player for the position in the January transfer window, they have ‘targeted’ the 28-year-old.
It turns out that the City Group’s club isn’t the only who want Sanson. The report claims the likes of Marseille and Strasbourg all have eyes on the Aston Villa player as well, while Montpellier were also given the chance to sign him.
For now, there isn’t any more information on how much Troyes are looking to offer for the midfielder, or even how much the Villans would request for a sale.
Sanson has barely played for the English club this season, having only 77 minutes on the pitch.
He was twice used at the end of Premier League games, and was a starter in Aston Villa’s clash against Stevenage in the FA Cup, where despite him scoring a goal, Unai Emery’s side were knocked out from the competition.
Stories from French media have been reporting the clubs’ interest in the player for a while, but they don’t seem very convinced about placing any sort of bid for his signing just yet, with most keeping an eye on the situation as the midfielder continues to push for an exit.
