Brazil manager Tite called up today the squad which will face Ecuador and Paraguay in the upcoming fixtures of the World Cup Qualifiers.

Among the 26 names on the list, there’s the one of Philippe Coutinho, who’s just swapped Barcelona for Aston Villa.

Each of the last few times the winger was called up for the national team was followed by a little bit of controversy, since he’s past his best days and there’s a big competition for his position.

Now when speaking of Coutinho’s comeback to the squad, Tite talked about the faith he has in him, pointing out that he should be in action for Aston Villa at the weekend.

“He’s getting back to the best level,” said Tite (via TNT Sports’ Fred Caldeira).

“The information we have is that he can be used this weekend. We want to see closely if he shows this recovery.”

Aston Villa play on Saturday Manchester United at Villa Park, which is undoubtedly a great stage for Coutinho to make his debut for the club.

There he’ll face Alex Telles and Fred, who have both been called up to the national team as well.
