Hansa Rostock manager Daniel Brinkmann has admitted that Ryan Naderi could join Glasgow Rangers before January’s deadline.

Nord Kurier have comments from him today. The newspaper specifically asked him about Naderi and the interest from Ibrox.

Rangers have been pressing for Naderi since the 26th of this month. Their first bid came at that point before it was then explained that Danny Rohl’s side had blown the competition away.

The deal has been progressing since that point. Rangers have been aided by the fact that Naderi wants the move to Ibrox, as he considers it a once in a lifetime transfer. The latest reports today then stated that Hansa Rostock could be opening up to sanctioning the transfer.

They’ve been resistant to the idea so far. But there were indications that the German side were changing that stance as deadline day approaches.

Now Brinkmann admits the transfer could happen, despite an overall desire to keep Naderi until the end of the season at least.

It’s a difficult situation for us and for the lad, who’s a daily topic of conversation,” he said.

“We’re trying to handle it as best we can and maintain good contact with him. Otherwise, from our perspective, the situation has been presented relatively clearly: we want to keep Ryan in the winter.

“Never say never. We always have to see how things change. Overall, we’re trying to make the best of the situation and not make a bigger deal out of it than it is. We’re showing him the necessary respect. I’ll be glad when this transfer window is over.”
