Werder Bremen star Marvin Ducksch has admitted he doesn’t know what the future holds as Newcastle United are linked with a transfer.
The striker has been speaking to Sky Sports in Germany regarding his current situation, with his star very much on the rise at this moment in time.
Ducksch has been in superb goalscoring form for Bremen this season, with five goals and four assists in 12 games in the Bundesliga and another goal in his sole game in the German cup.
He’s very much enjoying a superb year overall, with his numbers putting him at the top of the pile in terms of German goal scorers and earning him a place in Julian Nagelsmann’s Germany squad.
They’re expected to be busy in January bolstering Eddie Howe’s squad, which has been left threadbare by injuries, particularly up front, where Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson have issues that have left them out of contention.
Thus, they were believed to be showing an interest in Ducksch, who would be seen as a cheap option for Newcastle to explore. Whether they do remains to be seen, but the striker certainly isn’t closing the door.
“I was able to develop into a national player here (Werder Bremen) and I know what I have at the club. Of course, in football you never know what could happen,” he said when asked about the possibility of a transfer.
