Leeds United star Rodrigo has admitted he cannot rule out the possibility of a return to Valencia at some point in future.
Rodrigo joined Leeds in a €30m deal from the Spanish side in August 2020, a move which brought an end to a five year stay at the Mestalla.
He joined Valencia in a €30m deal from Benfica in July 2015 and went on to make 220 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 59 goals and registering 41 assists in total.
He is yet to get close to any of those numbers with Leeds or any of his other clubs, with Benfica the closest on 120 appearances in total.
It means they are a club who remain close to his heart and should a return to Spain ever be on the cards in the coming years, a name to look out for.
The Leeds striker would certainly be open to that, admitting he can never rule out the possibility of going back to his former club.
“I’ve always had a special affection for Valencia and its fans,” he told AS.
“We achieved important things in the years I was there, and I am very fond of the city, on a personal and professional level. My daughter was born in Valencia, and I spent most of my career there.
“Going back? You never know what the future might bring. Right now, I’m very happy at Leeds and fully focused on our objectives.”
