Today, the European media got caught up in drama after L’Equipe reported Neymar has asked to leave Paris Saint Germain.
The French media is still developing the story, and as RMC Sport now talks about it, they bring Chelsea to the list of potential destinations.
The outlet first claims that it’s PSG who want to part ways with Neymar this summer, adding that the player indeed told the club he also wants to part ways.
The problem is that finding a destination for the Brazilian isn’t simple, especially because he’s currently paid €30m per year.
It’s said the possibility of a move to Barcelona is ‘low’ as he’s not in Xavi’s plans. There’s been contact from a Brazilian side, and although RMC doesn’t mention this, that transfer window is now closed. Plus there’s the interest from Saudi Arabia.
Regarding the Blues, the report claims that people around Neymar ‘never broke off talks with Chelsea’.
Now the big question would be whether the Stamford Bridge side would pay anything like what he’s on now, as it’s claimed that he’ll not give up on all that money.
An agreement between Chelsea and PSG doesn’t seem like a huge problem, given that the club now want him gone as well.
