Atlético Mineiro’s Alisson Santana has emerged as a surprise target for Everton, according to a report from Brazil.

The 18-year-old was promoted to the club’s first team in 2023. He prefers to operate on the right wing but has been used in other attacking positions and also as a right wing-back.

According to O Tempo, Everton are keen on signing the versatile player this summer.

Their title says the Toffees have made an offer to Atlético Mineiro. Within the report, it’s pointed out that O Tempo aren’t aware of the fee proposed by the Merseyside club.

It’s further claimed ‘negotiations are underway’ between Everton and the Brazilian club for the forward.

He’s also managed to attract interest from others, but the ‘one [likely offer] made by’ the Premier League side has ‘pleased the most’.

Alisson’s contract lasts until December 2027, and includes a €60m release clause. He could leave Atlético Mineiro in this window, but Everton are unlikely to pay a fee close to his clause.

Arsenal and others were linked earlier this year and at that point it was said the youngster was valued at €20-25m.
