Even though two thirds of the January transfer window have already passed and Sevilla still couldn’t take Anthony Martial from Manchester United, it still doesn’t mean the La Liga side are giving up on the signing.
A report from Marca today says the Frenchman continues to be the club’s ‘first option’ to reinforce their attacking sector.
It’s claimed that even though Manchester United are making things difficulty by demanding Sevilla pay a fee, and Martial’s full salary during the loan, the player’s wish could still help the move.
Marca say that in case the Spanish club knock on the door in the ‘last hours’, then the Red Devils could end up decreasing their demands and accept the offer on the table.
Despite that hope shown by Marca, they say that sources in the negotiations claim the transfer is ‘tremendously complicated’, even though it’s not impossible.
While Sevilla struggle to find the right bid, Martial continues to be linked with an exit to Juventus. This week optimistic claims from Italy have been saying the player is ‘ready to say yes’ to a move to the Old Lady.
