Mexico manager Jaime Lozano recently held ‘technical talks’ with Brentford to learn all about the club and their strategies.
That’s according to Record, specifically journalist David Medrano, who has revealed that Lozano and his team were able to facilitate an in-depth meeting with the Bees.
Lozano is currently on a tour of Europe, largely focusing on Mexican players currently playing in Europe, taking advantage to look at the player’s ahead of the next international break.
That means he’s spending some time watching the Premier League, where the likes of West Ham’s Edson Alvarez and Fulham’s Raul Jimenez currently play their football.
Both are key players for Mexico, and have been for some time, and so Lozano is in England taking a look at the pair and even signing their praises.
It seems part of that trip has also seen him make a visit to Brentford, where, thanks to assistant manager Bernardo Cueva, they’ve been holding talks.
Record explain that he facilitated something of an information sharing exercise between Brentford and Mexico, with the delegation led by Duilio Davino and Jaime Lozano learning in depth how Brentford work.
Cueva even managed to convince the Bees to let the delegation be a part of ‘technical talks’ and participate in them, although there’s no explanation of what that would have entailed.
Either way, if Mexico suddenly start playing like Brentford or employing some of the tricks that have made them so successful over the last few years, we know why.
