Since October’s international break, Kai Havertz has managed three goals and an assist in his last seven matches for Chelsea.

The Germany international also found the back of the net in his country’s 4-0 win over North Macedonia last month.

Hansi Flick again included him in the squad to face Liechtenstein and Armenia in World Cup qualifiers in the coming days.

The Blues star’s involvement for the clash against Liechtenstein on Thursday is ‘more than questionable’ because he hasn’t trained, according to Bild. Die Mannschaft have concerns with several of their players for various reasons.

Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala and Karim Adeyemi were forced to isolate as they were in close contact with Bayern Munich’s Niklas Süle, who tested positive for Covid-19.

In addition to this, Julian Draxler, Timo Werner, Nico Schlotterbeck and Florian Wirtz are unavailable due to injuries. Bild say Flick has another worry with regards to the Chelsea star.

It’s said Havertz ‘had to skip’ Tuesday’s session and was ‘unable to stand’ with the rest of the group in the final training session on Wednesday. Therefore, his participation in today’s tie is ‘questionable’.

There is no mention over why Havertz was unable to train in the last two days. Chelsea will no doubt be keeping a close on eye on his situation.
