Three days ago, we carried a report from French newspaper L’Equipe, who claimed Chelsea are Bayern Munich are interested in signing Lyon’s Nabil Fekir.

El Gol Digital also relays the same information in the report, while they further go on to mention the west London club are ahead of the Bundesliga winners in the race for the World Cup winner.

Blues manager, Maurizio Sarri has ‘personally called’ the 25-year-old to explain the project at Stamford Bridge.

The former Napoli coach has also assured the Ligue 1 star that he will be an ‘undisputed holder’ in his side, if he decides to swap Lyon for the Premier League outfit.

It doesn’t mention whether the Frenchman is impressed with the FA Cup winners’ project or not.

El Gol Digital also claims Chelsea’s idea of making an approach for Fekir could bring bad news for Pedro.

Should the deal go through, the former Barcelona man will be behind Eden Hazard, Willian and Fekir in the pecking order and then, he will push for a move back to Spain.

Since the L’Equipe report, there have been countless articles and claims pushing Fekir and Chelsea further down the path, and spin-off rumours like this one.

Whilst L’Equipe did back up interest, it wasn’t presented as being at advanced stage, and Chelsea weren’t labelled as favourites as has been claimed elsewhere.
