Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell has played only one game this season and is on the fringes of the project at Stamford Bridge under Enzo Maresca.
The left-back finds himself in a situation where an exit is looking the most likely option and Tuttosport have today reported on interest from Juventus.
As the Italian giants look for cover in defensive areas due to an injury crisis at the back, ‘movements’ have taken place between Juve and Chelsea regarding a potential move for the 27-year-old Englishman.
What those ‘movements’ are is not made clear but something is apparently happening behind the scenes.
Chilwell’s entourage is currently looking around for other clubs, with the player frustrated with how things are right now.
The feeling is that the Blues will be happy to let the player depart on a free loan deal and the left-back would also be happy to reduce his wage demands to play regularly for the Bianconeri from January onwards.
As of now, the ex-Leicester City man is at the top of Juve’s shortlist for left-backs and they really appreciate his skillset, which could offer a lot in defence and attack to Thiago Motta’s setup.
