Hertha Berlin are one of the clubs interested in signing Timothy Fosu-Mensah on a loan deal from Manchester United, a source close to the situation has told Sport Witness.
The Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho allowed the Dutch international to spend last season on loan Crystal Palace, where he made 22 appearances in all competitions. He was included in the former Chelsea manager’s preseason tour of the United States.
Bayern Munich host the 20-time English champions in the last preseason fixture at the Allianz Arena on Sunday and the 20-year-old was included in the squad for the trip to Germany.
On June 29th, Sport Witness reported Fosu-Mensah has a future at Old Trafford amid reports of interest from Valencia, and at the time we were informed a loan move away from the Manchester club could still be a possibility.
Despite German claims of it being almost a done deal, Hertha Berlin are not the only club interested in signing the former Ajax academy player, and are “one of a few options”. The deal has not taken shape yet because no decision has been taken on the utility player’s future.
