Jose Mourinho has been linked with a move for Ivan Perisic for several years. It goes back to the manager’s time in charge of Manchester United, when the now Tottenham boss was photographed on a trip to Croatia, which was reportedly to build a deal for the Inter Milan player.

Despite the rumour continuing for multiple transfer windows, Manchester United and the Serie A club couldn’t agree a fee, and in August 2019, Perisic went on loan to Bayern Munich.

That was a successful season, with the Croatian winning the treble with the German club. Perisic played a meaningful role in that, making 35 appearances, scoring eight goals and adding 10 assists.

Bayern then couldn’t agree a continuation with Inter, and this season Antonio Conte hasn’t got as much out of the 31-year-old as the Bundesliga side did.

Tottenham were linked last week, but now their interest, and even that of Mourinho, has been dismissed. InterLive report, according to their own information, that whilst the manager remains a fan of Perisic, he’s not interested in signing him for Spurs in the January window.

It’s added that Tottenham feel the same way, so this is a move which won’t be happening.
