Jadon Sancho’s complicated situation at Manchester United is an open door for all kinds of rumours, and the Italian media has something to share today.
Outlet Il Romanista comes up with a story saying that AS Roma currently ‘monitor’ the situation around the 23-year-old.
Their piece claims Sancho isn’t keen on any kind of ‘clarification’ with Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag, and actually asked the club for a January move.
Roma are brought to the story because, according to Il Romanista, José Mourinho ‘wants him at all costs’.
The big obstacle for the Giallorossi is Sancho’s wages, as that wouldn’t give them ‘much chance’ to win a potential race.
Now since they were able to line up a deal to get Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea, it seems there’s some hope they could find something similar for Sancho.
This story draws our attention because Mourinho doesn’t seem to be the type of manager who’s looking for a player with questions marks around his effort in training.
Either way, everything will depend on how Manchester United deal with this situation in the coming months.
