Wednesday evening saw L’Equipe bring the claim that Manchester United and Everton are both keen on signing Kurt Zouma from Everton before the window closes at 5pm today.
Both clubs have been looking for a central defender and have seen their paths cross again, but it’s different formulas between the Toffees and Red Devils.
L’Equipe states Manchester United want a permanent transfer, whereas Everton would be keen on a loan.
Jose Mourinho is said to be especially keen on teaming up with Zpuma again.
Despite the Frenchman being 23 years of age, perhaps Mourinho feels he has the experience required at Old Trafford.
In their Thursday newspaper, L’Equipe state Mourinho is ‘particularly fond’ of the player and has called him to say so directly. That gives a very good indication of where these claims are originating from.
Manchester United are also said to have held talks with Chelsea, but they ran into issues last night because the Blues don’t want to sell to a rival and would rather loan Zouma out.
Ok, Paul Pogba. L'Equipe go massive and perhaps reveal crux of issue.
‘Barca, the Pogbluff?’
'Alexis Sanchez earns more than €20m. This didn’t go unnoticed in the Pogba camp, led by his agent Mino Raiola.’
Transfer chance ‘almost nil’.https://t.co/ZdFVyBqFis #mufc pic.twitter.com/18ibjK2wFK
