Real Betis forward Luiz Henrique has ended up on Aston Villa’s radar, according to AS.
The La Liga side took the winger from Fluminense last summer and handed him a deal until 2028. In his debut season in Spain, he’s scored three goals and registered seven assists from 39 games.
Henrique’s performances have alerted Premier League sides, who have sent their scouts to watch him in action for Betis regularly.
Aston Villa are the only team to get a mention and it’s explained that the Villans are the ‘one of the most interested’ clubs chasing the 22-year-old.
The Brazilian has failed to score a goal and managed only two assists since his side’s Spanish Super Cup draw against Barcelona in January. His recent performances may not help Manuel Pellegrini’s side receive an important offer in the summer.
Henrique has a lot of room to improve and his profile is attractive to other clubs, including Unai Emery’s side.
Therefore, Los Verdiblancos see the player as someone who can them earn millions from his exit ‘sooner rather than later’. Betis paid €7.5m for Henrique and his sale would help them make a profit.
“Yes, Luiz Henrique is on our radar. He is a very dangerous right winger, a player with a bright future. We are always watching him, of course,” Brazil U20 manager Ramon Menezes told AS.
