If selling three of your players to Manchester United in one window doesn’t constitute the perfect transfer window as an agent, we don’t know what does.
Le10 Sport say it was near perfect for Raiola, as Blaise Matuidi didn’t leave Paris Saint-Germain, but we reckon he’s still pretty pleased with his summer’s business.
Firstly, José Mourinho had to convince Mino Raiola, which was helped by the Zlatan and Henrikh Mkhitaryan deals, paving the way to the Paul Pogba negotiations.
However, it wasn’t as easy as Pogba makes it out to be, according to Le10 Sport, as the super agent apparently had to pull out all the stops to persuade him to ‘return home’.
The lack of Champions League was a big problem for the former Juventus star, and Raiola had to ask Zlatan Ibrahimovic to have a charismatic word, as well as get Mourinho to seriously talk to him to get him to change his mind.
This is all far less romantic than the public “I’m back home” line, isn’t it?
