Mundo Deportivo’s Friday take on Yerry Mina brings Everton and Lyon back into the picture as serious contenders alongside Manchester United.
The Catalan newspaper state the defender has ‘agreement’ with all three clubs, and now it’s down to reaching a fee with Barcelona.
Mina’s uncle Jair is said to have ‘successfully’ held a meeting with a representative from Manchester United, and it’s stated he’d already done similar with Everton. Lyon managed to find an agreement with Jair after he visited the French club’s facilities.
Everything is now being left between the clubs to reach a fee, but it’s stated that a move to Old Trafford remains the priority for both the Colombia international and his club.
Mundo Deportivo suggest Barca believe United can get closest to the €40m asking price.
This is all a fortunate situation for Barca and the Catalan media believe it’s almost entirely based on Mina’s good World Cup.
The club find themselves in a ‘good scenario to achieve a sale that few would have predicted in May’.
