So, it seems we’ve got ourselves a bit of a mystery on our hands when it comes to Miralem Pjanic, his dinner date with Fali Ramadani and a potential transfer to Chelsea.

Yes, the Macedonian agent works closely with the Blues and Roman Abramovich. Yes, he had a hand in bringing Maurizio Sarri to Stamford Bridge, but he’s also the Juventus’ midfielder’s agent.

Pjanic is said to have recently hired Ramadani, which led to all sorts of speculation, and the dinner they shared together on Wednesday evening didn’t help one bit, but while Calciomercato, who had an article on it, focused solely on the pair, they seem to have omitted two other members present.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Fiorentina’s director of sport, Pantaleo Corvino, and Alessandro Pellegrini, Maurizio Sarri’s lawyer, were also sat around the table.

If they were discussing a move to Stamford Bridge, we’re not sure they’d need another club’s board member present, nor his potential future manager’s attorney.

The only reason we can think of for Corvino being present was Ramadani wanting to kill two birds with one stone: meet with his client and hear out the Fiorentina director of football for the loan of Mario Pasalic, who previously gave his word to the club only for Chelsea to accept Atalanta’s offer instead.

The details of said meeting are yet to leak, as the Italian newspaper only speculate with a few “what ifs”.

Calciomercato, on the other hand, don’t even bother to be coy, and jump straight to conclusions, stating the Bosnia international could move to Chelsea should N’Golo Kanté be sold.

However, both outlets are in agreement when it comes to Juventus’ stance on the matter: Pjanic is not for sale, and the website even go as far as saying the midfielder told Ramadani he was ‘more than happy’ in Turin.

And if all of that wasn’t enough, Corriere dello Sport reveal Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival in Turin has convinced the former Lyon starlet to stay with the Serie A champions, who will offer him a new contract in the coming months and increase his wages by €2m/year to €6.5m.

Maybe, just maybe, not every meeting between football people is transfer related? They’re human beings too, you know? Maybe they like a nice meal out with some decent wine like the rest of us?
