It appears that Franck Kessie’s agency, relayed by FC Inter News, have put an end to any hope Tottenham may have had of signing the midfielder.

Over the past few months, there have been numerous stories suggesting that Spurs could make a move for the Ivory Coast international.

That was at a time when the player was having a tougher time at Barcelona, before he scored the club’s 3000th goal in the recent win over Real Madrid.

Of course, a lot of these stories mentioned Kessie’s name alongside Antonio Conte’s, who is now in a very precarious position at Tottenham following his comments to the press after the 3-3 draw against Southampton.

The midfielder is now seen as an important part of the Barcelona squad, with Xavi appreciating what he can bring, meaning a move in the summer would be difficult to pull off.

Not only that, but his agency have come out following claims of a potential exit to clear up the situation around their client, and put an end to any hopes of Tottenham ever getting him, unless certain legless animals magically grow some in the next few months.

Ambition Group Sport Management said on Instagram: “We want to be very clear on this: the possibility that Kessie could leave Barcelona in the next transfer market is like hoping that a snake will suddenly have legs next summer.

“The world is upside down! Kessie plays, does so wonderfully well, scores goals, enters Barca history by scoring the 3000th goal and someone finds the courage to divulge delusional information.”
