Manchester United’s pursuit of Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch now gets some interesting updates.
Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna comes up to say that following the Red Devils’ approach for the player, he’s actually keen on making that switch.
Gravenberch previously worked under Erik ten Hag at Ajax, and according to the report, both player and manager ‘would be happy to work together again’.
Manchester United already ‘expressed interest’ in the signing. In fact, their chase for the 20-year-old had already been reported by Aouna last week.
Back then, it had been claimed that the Red Devils, as well as Arsenal and Liverpool, would be meeting the player’s entourage soon.
Gravenberch, who joined Bayern Munich in a €18.5m move from Ajax last summer, is said to be unhappy with the little playing time he’s been getting at the Bundesliga side, as he only has 727 minutes in 28 appearances so far.
According to Aouna, he’s keen on playing more, regardless of the club. Now it seems Erik ten Hag could offer him a good chance to feature for Manchester United, although we should wait and see how the German club will react to that interest.
